We stayed in the Ambassador Suite. It was very spacious, with a large lounge, dining table, small kitchen, comfy king bed and a large bathroom. The unit was clean and overlooked a swimming pool and had views over a lagoon. The property is located 25 minutes drive from the airport, but with easy access to Auckland CBD. Sylvia Park Mall is 15 minutes walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful and responded promptly and effectively to our requests.

I fell in love with the Waipuna hotel. I really liked the friendliness of the staff, yet they were also so professional. I felt like I was truly a much respected and wanted guest. The Waipuna venue could have been a large vacuous space, except for the exceptional professionalism of each one of its incredible staff. I liked them so much, I don't really want to stay anywhere else in Auckland. If I wo Ttn Lotto, I'd stay there more often.sybe become a semi permanent live in client. I hope you don't mind. 8 got rather attached to room service. Can the chef who cooked my perfect, most tender medium steak cook for me at home? And the steak burger?;Pretty please.... If I didn't love my pretty little pink whare with rimu floors, 9 would seriously consider becoming a permanent resident at the Waipuna hotel. Yeah, nah, I'm not kidding. I love you guys and gals at the Waipuna. Take a bow, you beautiful people. If my place wasn't too small to accommodate you all, id invite you to come stay with mye. Yep, yI'm like thatt Hats off to you.y Waipuna hotel. Love it. Booked in a second week....And....om going back for Christmas dinner and a couple nights stay. Do you mind? a Can I have the same room On the same floor? Pyretty please 🙏🙏🙏🥺 7

I loved the room service. The meals. I didn't want to enjoy it too much because my cooking looked even worse by the day Damn the chef was so good. How can I ever go back to my own cooking? Huh? You tell me. I wasn't looking so good before the Waipuna, mate.... Mate, cheffy, you make me look even worse now. Thanks.a lot. Seriously, You spoiled me rotten. Good on ya. I loved our room and the view. It was my first holiday since 2013. I moved back home and had a work accident which caused neck and back nerve damage which caused major health problems. In and out of hospital, bedridden for a while, I went from being an active former 3x Oxfam 100 KMS in 48 hours attendee, former yachtee club member, hiker or tramper regular of Lake Waikaremoana, former parachute club attendee, not sure what happened to my certs or membership After I moved.... Somewhat semi globe trotter, I never covered the continents and didn't and still remain prejudiced and biased towards some nations yet to be visited, but I did travel.... Until the accident brought everything to a halt. Oftentimes unable to leave my house because of a complete lack of energy, I had to consider the worst case scenario of traveling away from home by myself, stuck in a hotel, unable to cook or fetch anything because of my sometimes bewildering debilitating illness. It can catch me unaware very suddenly. It comes up on me with no warning, but can leave just as suddenly. The Waipuna set by the lagoon offered a pretty room with a view, room service and a pool and spa. A spa is one of my favour places. Well, that and a vino, music playing, a starry night, room service, a bar and restaurant, oh, wait the Waipuna has all that. Or should I say, all that and more. Staff can make or break a place. Customer service is a necessary evil and unbelievably key element in maintaining the status quo of a place, be it good or bad.

We recently stayed at Waipuna and while our stay began with a bit of a mix-up — we were initially placed in the wrong room, completely different from what I had booked — the way the situation was handled made all the difference. The receptionist and the manager were absolutely amazing. They listened with genuine care, reassured us, and worked quickly to resolve the issue. By the next day, everything was sorted, and we were moved into the right room, which made our stay so much more enjoyable. Things don’t always go perfectly, but what really matters is how a hotel responds when issues arise. The kindness and professionalism of the staff turned what could have been a disappointing experience into a positive one. We truly appreciated their warmth and effort, and it left us with a great impression of the hotel. Would definitely stay again, knowing the team goes above and beyond for their guests.

A big thank you to all the staff at Waipuna Hotel who took such wonderful care of my kids during their 4-day stay. They were so happy with the room, and we could truly feel the friendliness and kindness from everyone they met. I had a few requests for the Reservation Manager, and it was clear that every detail was looked after with care. We are really grateful for the effort and hospitality – it gave us great peace of mind and made their stay very special. Highly recommend Waipuna Hotel for anyone looking for a place with comfort, warmth, and genuine service. :)

The staff were very friendly on arrival - check-in was fairly simple, she made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The room we stayed in was quite spacious, the beds were very comfortable & it made for a very good night's sleep after a long day. Breakfast was very nice - sharing a meal while catching the morning sunrise over the Basin? Beautiful, we look forward to our next stay.

Great in-house restaurant. Had dinner there the first night, breakfast 2 mornings and a celebration dinner for 19 on the Saturday night. Was great to be able to do all of this in-house. Comfortable room, warm, decent sized bathroom. Handy to Sylvia Park Shopping Centre and the motorway for travelling in and out of the city. Lovely having such easy access to the Panmure Lagoon Path.
